Player Injury Causes Withdraw from Calgary National Bank Challenger

The Calgary National Bank Challenger 2023, one of the most anticipated tennis events of the year, deeply regrets to announce player changes of two talented players, Vasek Pospisil and Robin Montgomery. The two players scheduled to compete in the tennis tournament from November 5th to 12th have said injury as the reason for their withdrawal.

Vasek Pospisil

Vasek Pospisil, the Canadian tennis star known for his powerful game and impressive career, has had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from the tournament due to an elbow injury. Pospisil has been a fan favourite and an instrumental part of previous editions of the Calgary National Bank Challenger. He expressed his disappointment in not being able to participate this year. He stated, “unfortunately, due to a lingering elbow injury, I have to withdraw from the event and therefore won’t be playing next week. Thank you Danny DaCosta for always being so accommodating and understanding. Hope to see you all next year.”

Robin Montgomery

Robin Montgomery, the promising young talent from the United States, has also regrettably withdrawn from the tournament due to an injury. Montgomery was eager to return and defend her title. She expressed her disappointment but also her commitment to a full recovery.
