The Calgary National Bank “Challenger” returned for its 5th edition. This year’s event took place October 13 to 20, 2024 at the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre “ATC”. The 2024, Challenger saw the continuation of paid hospitality for women player’s following the tournaments historic decision to do so in 2023.
In partnership with the ATP Challenger Tour, CBC Sports and Rogers TV, the event became the first ATP Challenger to be televised in Canada. 4 matches per day were televised on CBC Sports You Tube with the finals being broadcasted on CBC Gem. Additionally, 2 matches per day were broadcasted in various markets in Alberta. Rogers also broadcasted the matches in select communities across Canada on Rogers TV. Commentary was provided by Rob Werner of Tennis Channel. Joining Werner on commentary was 2024 Canadian Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, Daniel Nestor.
