The 2024 Calgary National Bank Challenger will be streamed live on CBC Sports’ YouTube page, offering front-row access to one of the most prestigious ATP Challenger Tour events. From October 14-19, viewers can catch four matches a day, with the Men’s and Women’s Singles Finals being broadcast on CBC Gem on October 20.
Danny Da Costa, CEO of the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership with CBC, stating, “Bringing our event to more tennis fans across Canada has been one of our goals, and this could only be achieved with the support of the ATP Challenger Tour and CBC.” This collaboration with CBC ensures fans from coast to coast can experience the tournament’s action, no matter where they are.
In 2024, the ATP Tour introduced a new chapter for the Challenger Tour with the launch of the ‘Challenger Showcase.’ This initiative provides 34 elite tournaments, including the Calgary National Bank Challenger, with enhanced TV production. With five-camera coverage of all Center Court matches and live commentary, the event promises a viewing experience that rivals major international tournaments.
Josh Meiseles of the ATP Challenger Tour emphasized the significance of this broadcast initiative, saying, “We are thrilled to include the 2024 edition of the CALGARY NATIONAL BANK CHALLENGER as part of the Challenger Showcase.” For those unable to attend in person, all matches will also be streamed globally for free on ‘Challenger TV’ via the ATP website and app.
Returning for its fifth edition from October 13 to 20, 2024, at the OSTEN & VICTOR Alberta Tennis Centre, the Calgary National Bank Challenger has already earned accolades, winning the 2023 Canadian Sport Tourism Prestige Award for its outstanding sponsorship initiative.
